MEET THE PARK MANAGER

Jerry Sawyer manages Finley Point State Park and the six state parks on Flathead Lake. He was a ranger with Colorado State Parks for four years, and a seasonal wilderness ranger with the U.S. Forest Service. Jerry is originally from the Midwest and moved to Colorado in his twenties. He earned a B.S. in Geology from Metropolitan State College in Denver and a master’s degree in Recreation Resources at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

Finley Point

STATE PARK

Make Finley Point State Park your base camp to enjoy the many activities in the area. It is located at the southern end of Flathead Lake.

Fishing for Lake Trout and Lake Superior Whitefish is excellent. There's hiking, swimming, and boating at the state park, along with golf, shopping, dining, entertainment and museums in nearby Polson.

The elevation is 2,913 feet and includes 28 acres of land.

Finley Point offers 18 campsites, 16 boat slips that are up to 25 feet long, and boat moorings. Bear resistant storage lockers are available.

RV/trailer size is limited to 40 feet in length, and a joint state/tribal fishing license is needed for fishing at this park.
