MEET THE PARK MANAGER

Dave Bennetts graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Forest Recreation Resource Management. He has worked for Montana State Parks for the past six years--as a Park Ranger on Flathead Lake for four years and for the past two years as the park manager for Les Mason, Logan, Thompson Falls and Whitefish Lake state parks. Dave is from Butte.

Logan

STATE PARK

Logan State Park is located in northwest Montana. With frontage on the north shore of Middle Thompson Lake, Logan is heavily forested with western larch, Douglas-fir, and ponderosa pine. A channel connects Upper, Middle and Lower Thompson lakes.

Attractions include swimming, boating, camping, horseshoe pit, water skiing, and good fishing.

This state park has an elevation of 3,333 feet, the park covers 17 acres.

There are 37 total campsites, one tent-only site. The RV/trailer size limit is 30 feet in length. This is a heavily forested, scenic area.

Season of operation depends upon weather conditions and access.
