Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) is promoting safe boating this summer with three “float smart” programs scheduled at state parks in Billings, Helena and Kalispell in June.
The Float Smart program is a dynamic discuss of inflatable pontoon boat navigation, equipment and safety concerns. This interactive program is designed for anglers or water recreationists who use one-person pontoon boats or are considering purchasing one. Using video, classroom discussion and on the water demonstrations, participants will learn about cold water survival, personal protective gear, and what to do when something goes wrong or equipment breaks.

Missouri Headwaters State Park weekly GeoCache Challenge.
The Missouri Headwaters State Park GeoCache Challenge is a self-guided park tour offered May through September, 2013. Using GPS units (like your smartphone), visitors can navigate through the park, searching for answers to trivia questions. The GeoCache Challenge is a fun way to get outdoors, learn park history, and see various areas of the Missouri headwaters.
