Services Reduced at Flathead Lake State Park - Yellow Bay Unit

(Bigfork, MT) – Montana State Parks ( announced today that services at Flathead Lake State Park - Yellow Bay unit will be reduced on Wednesday, September 9.

The water system will be shut down early this year for maintenance. Visitors are advised to bring any needed water beginning September 9. The campground will remain open, with the exception of some limited closures of campsite #2. The vault latrine will remain open.

Flathead Lake State Park encompasses six park units on Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Wayfarers, Yellow Bay and Finley Point units are on the east side of Flathead Lake and West Shore, Big Arm and Wild Horse Island units are on the west side. The park offers a variety of opportunities at each unit including camping, group camping, yurt rentals, picnic shelter rentals, boating, swimming, fishing, picnicking, hiking, sightseeing and wildlife viewing.
