Volunteers Sought for Earth Day Tree Planting at Milltown State Park -Saturday, April 22 from 2-5pm

(Missoula, MT) – Montana State Parks ( is seeking volunteers to help with a tree planting event in celebration of Earth Day at Milltown State Park on Saturday, April 22 from 2-5pm.

Join staff from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks as they plant trees and forbs (flowering plants) on the restored floodplain of the Clark Fork River. This is a family-friendly event. We ask participants to wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

What:  Earth Day Tree Planting

When:  Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 2-5pm

Where: Milltown State Park
Meet at the Clark Fork Arena located on Highway 210 in Piltzville.

Directions: Take I-90 to the Bonner Exit and follow Highway 200 to its junction with
Highway 210. Continue 2/10 of a mile and look for the Earth Day sign
(turn at the first right past the caboose).
