Makoshika State Park Campfire Program: “Manager Meet and Greet” -Thursday, June 1 at 7pm-
(Glendive, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) will host the Campfire Program: “Manager Meet and Greet” at Makoshika State Park on Thursday, June 1st at 7pm.
Join us for “Manager Meet and Greet”. Makoshika State Park’s new manager, Chris Dantic, has been with us for 7 months. We invite you to come out to meet Chris and learn about his vision and the future of Makoshika under his leadership. The program will take place at the Hiatt Amphitheater and a free BBQ will be offered. Guest are advised to bring anything they may need to be comfortable, such as warm clothing, insect repellent, water, etc.

Makoshika, the name of which is a variant spelling of a Lakota phrase meaning “bad earth,” is Montana’s largest state park Encompassing 11,583 acres. Known for its pine and juniper studded badland formations, Makoshika also houses the fossil remains of such dinosaurs as Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops.
