Earth Day Celebration at First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park - Sunday, April 22 from 1-3pm

(Ulm, MT) –Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) will celebrate Earth Day at First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park with a volunteer event on Sunday, April 22 from 1-3pm.

Protecting the planet and environment is important to Montana State Parks and park staff are looking for volunteers to help install a noxious weed kiosk on the new trail at the park’s North Kiosk. There will also be a planting of native bush species, chokecherry and buffalo berry, at the park Visitor Center. Refreshments will be provided.

This project is all part of the Adopt A Trail Montana (AATM) program. The bushes were donated to the park by Forde Nursey in Great Falls.

Volunteers will meet at the North Kiosk, about 3 miles from the park’s main Visitor Center. Tools will be provided by the park. Please contact Alice Southworth or Becky Boyers to register at (406) 866-2217.
