Earth Day Spring Repair Event at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park -Sunday, April 22 from 10am to 2pm
(Whitehall, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) will host a Spring Repair Event in celebration of Earth Day at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park on Sunday, April 22 from 10am to 2pm.
Learn how to spot trail damage, tackle invasive species and get trails ready for summer while enjoying Montana’s first state park! The event will kick off at the campground pavilion at 10am with an Earth Day celebration before dividing into groups to repair sections of trail, remove invasive weeds, and pick up litter.
This workday will be led by experienced Southwest Montana Mountain Bike Association members, Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park staff, and personnel from the Jefferson County Weed District. Volunteers should dress in work-ready, weather appropriate clothing, wear ankle-supporting footwear, and bring a sack lunch.

Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park features one of the largest known limestone caverns in the Northwest filled with spectacular stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and helictites.
