Ranger-Guided Hike at First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park -Saturday, July 21 at 10am – 12pm

(Ulm, MT) –Montana State Parks ( will host a Ranger Hike at First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park on Saturday, July 21 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Join Us for a ranger-guided hike to the top of First Peoples Buffalo Jump along our 3.5-mile roundtrip interpretive trail. During the hike you’ll learn about the jump’s history and how the First Peoples survived here long ago. The hike will begin and end at the park’s Visitor Center.

Due to the length of time and distance that will be covered walking, consider this a moderately strenuous walk. Cost for the hike is $4 per person. Participants should bring water, snacks, and hat and wear appropriate footwear for the hike. Hike may be cancelled in case of bad weather.

Where: First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park; located 10 miles south of Great Falls on I-15, take Ulm exit, then 3.5 miles North-west on paved county road.
