Travelers’ Rest State Park Moves to Offseason Hours
(Lolo, MT) – Travelers’ Rest State Park announced today that the park is now observing offseason hours of operation. The park will be open from 9:00am to 5:00pm daily with the visitor center and museum open from 10:00am to 4:00pm, Wednesday through Sunday; closed on Monday and Tuesday. Travelers’ Rest State Park, located in Lolo, Montana, is the only archaeologically verified campsite of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. For centuries Native Americans; including the Salish, Pend d’Oreille and Nez Perce, used the area as a campsite and trail junction. With Lolo Creek running through the park, Travelers’ Rest Sate Park is an idyllic spot for nature walks and bird watching.
