  • 2010 Economic Impact Survey of Visitors to Montana State Parks—The 2010 Economic Impact Survey was conducted by the Bureau of Business and Economic Research at The University of Montana in order to better understand and assess the experience and economic impact of resident and non-resident state parks visitors.
  • Montana State Parks and Fishing Access Site Visitation—Visitation estimates at Montana State Parks and Fishing Access Sites are summarized by calendar year and broken out by region.  Resident and non-resident use, the percentage of overnight visits, and visitation estimates at individual state parks are also provided.
  • 2002 Economic Impact Survey ( 279 KB)—Compiled by the University of Montana's Bureau of Business and Economic Research, this study determined expenditures, economic impact, characteristics, and satisfaction of visitors to state parks and fishing access sites. November 2002.

  • Survey of Visitors at Water-Based Montana State Parks ( 69 KB)—Surveys were conducted of visitors to 13 water-based state parks during the summers of 2006 and 2007. The survey sought to determine travel patterns, participation in particular activities, issues of concern, and customer satisfaction. November 2007.

  • Smith River Annual Report ( 2.3 MB)—This comprehensive summary of management activities includes visitor use statistics, along with social and resource conditions on the Smith River corridor during the past field season.
