

Geocaching, a great sport using a GPS unit to find a hidden box or item, is becoming increasingly popular in Montana State Parks. If you are considering placing a cache in a State Park or Fishing Access Site, Fish, WIldlife & Parks staff can provide valuable input about the location of a cache, as well as assure public safety for those searching for the site. If you are trying to locate a cache, please take care to protect yourself from injury, as well as protecting cultural and natural resources.
It is necessary to obtain permission from the manager of the park before placing a cache. Download the permit application below and return the completed application to the "Regional Parks Manager."
