From family reunions to wedding parties to motorcoach tours, Montana state parks can accommodate a wide array of group activities. Whether you're planning a social gathering or an athletic event, Montana state parks have the space you need.

Covered shelters, group camping areas, and meeting rooms are available at several locations. A rental fee is charged for group shelters and meeting rooms. Make reservations directly with the park; a deposit is required to hold the space.

Groups of 30 people or more require a Special Use Permit.

School Field Trips

With 50 parks from which to choose, Montana state parks offer a variety of fascinating opportunities from cultural and historic sites to beautiful places to study natural sciences. Programs may be as diverse as aquatic education, geology, Montana history, paleontology, or Indian education. Activities vary from gold panning to journaling exercises.

Group Tours

Planning a tour to Montana can be challenging, because the state offers so much to see and do! Whether your group is composed of students or seniors, they will enjoy the experience of finding some of Montana's best hidden treasures—its state parks.

Groups can tour any state park. Each group tour is required to obtain a Group Tour Permit and pay an entrance fee to the park. Most parks offer interpretive services for a charge. Interpretive Programs

Many parks have rangers who provide regular interpretive programs. With prior notice, rangers can develop customized programs for your group.
