

Whether you are a member of a bike club, fly fishing club, canoe club, Scout troop, vo-ag group, environmental club, Upward Bound, or Good Sam’s, opportunities abound in state parks and fishing access sites for any group seeking a community service activity.

These activities can be done on a special volunteer day organized by the park, through an " adopt-a-site" program, or an event that you organize. For more details, contact the park manager of the site where you are interested in volunteering.
Cleanup, weed pulling, trail buidling and other volunteer events are often planned in state parks and fishing access sites on Earth Day, National Trails Day, Get Outdoors Day, Global Youth Service Day, National River Cleanup Week, and National Public Lands Day. If you or your organization are interested in planning your own event in a state park or fishing access site, please contact the manager of that site.
If your club or organization is interested in maintaining a state park or fishing access site regularly, you may adopt the site. Each adoption is handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the appropriate regional parks manager for more information.
