The Montana state parks system consists of 54 parks. Maintaining these special places requires a lot of attention. This requires the help of dedicated volunteers. Each year, volunteers serve as campground hosts, visitor center attendants, naturalists, and assistants on special projects. They volunteer so that current and future generations may enjoy these special places as much as they have.
Individuals and groups can take an active role in making Montana a better place to live or visit. You can help on a one-time project or a recurring, long-term project. No matter what level of commitment you choose, Montana state parks will work with each volunteer or group to develop a project for their area of interest.
