MEET THE PARK MANAGER
Alex Sholes
Alex Sholes is the manager of Ackley Lake and Giant Springs state parks. Alex received a master’s degree in Recreation Administration from the University of Idaho. Before coming to Montana State Parks, he worked for the U.S. Forest Service as a Recreation Manager on the Salmon River in Idaho. Prior to that he held a ranger position on the Middle Fork of the Salmon for 2 years, and worked for FWP as a Smith River ranger in 2012.
