Enjoy photography, hiking and wildlife viewing at Medicine Rocks. As the name implies it was a place of "big medicine" where Indian hunting parties gathered.

RESTRICTIONS/CLOSURES

RESTRICTIONS AND CLOSURES
Stage I Fire Restriction in effect with an exemption - allowing campfires in designated steel fire grates only. Propane and LPG camp stoves are allowed. Smoking is not allowed except in enclosed vehicles or developed sites clear of all flammable materials.

Open year-round. Day use hours: 7 am - 10 pm.

Camping
Open year-round. Campsites are on a first come first serve basis.

MEET THE PARK MANAGER

Chris Dantic is the park manager at Medicine Rocks State Park. He began his career with Montana State Parks in 2003. He has worked at Chief Plenty Coups, First Peoples Buffalo Jump, Giant Springs, Sluice Boxes, Tower Rock and Smith River State Parks. Chris has a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Oregon University in History. He also has responsibility for Makoshika, Brush Lake and Pirogue Island State Parks.
