Public Comment Sought for Proposed Parks Classification Policy
(Helena, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) and the Montana State Parks & Recreation Board are seeking public comment on the proposed Classification and Investment Strategy policy for the Montana State Parks system. The proposed policy would guide strategic investment of resources into the park system. Comments will be accepted through Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 5pm.

Public Comment Opens for Proposed LWCF and OHV Grant Applications - Comments accepted through April 11, 2019
(Helena, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) is seeking public comment on proposed 2019 Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Grant awards for the current grant cycle which closed on February 28, 2019. Public comments will be accepted through Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 5pm.

Decision Notice Issued for Wastewater System Replacement Project at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park
(Helena, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) has issued a decision notice for a draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for a proposed Wastewater Treatment System Replacement project at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park near Whitehall, MT. The decision recommends moving forward with replacement of the wastewater system.

2019 Smith River Permit Results Now Available
(Helena, MT) – The permit lottery results to float Smith River State Park in 2019 are now available online at stateparks.mt.gov. In addition to the online results, successful applicants will also be notified by mail.

Last Chance to Ice Skate at Bannack State Park
(Dillon, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today that the skating pond at Bannack State Park will close for the season after March 3, 2019. The skating pond is open weekends from 10am to 4pm. Loaner skates and concessions are available. Don’t miss out on your last chance to glide across the ice at Bannack this year!
