Montana State Parks Announces Update on Makoshika Road Project
(Glendive, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today that the switchback road leading to the upper area of Makoshika State Park open to the public on May 1, 2015. Monitoring of the project will continue through 2015.

Public Comment Sought on EA for Eden Bridge Amended Host Site Improvement Project at Smith River State Park
(Helena, MT) –Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today that public comment is being sought on a draft environmental assessment (EA) for an amended host site improvement project located at Eden Bridge in Smith River State Park. Eden Bridge is the take-out site for recreational floaters on the Smith River near Ulm, MT. Approximately 5,000 people per year float the Smith River.

First Teachers, Ghostly Gatherings and Mark Twain Conclude 2015 Winter Storytelling Series at Travelers’ Rest State Park
(Lolo, MT) – Join us-Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) for the Winter Storytelling Series at Travelers’ Rest State Park every Saturday through March 21. This year’s series concludes with First Teachers of Missoula, Ghostly Gatherings from the Treasure State, and Mark Twain. All programs begin at 11am.

2015 Smith River Float Permit Lottery Results Now Available

Successful permit applicants will also be notified by mail.
